BOTTICELLIBotticelli, Sandro Botticelli, an artist with many artisitic styles. Botticelli was born in Florence and influenced by others artistry. In the Florentine Renaissance, Botticelli was well known as one of the leading painters. He developed a highly personal style characterized by elegant execution, a sence of melancholy, and a strong emphasis on line. Botticelli first started off serving as an apprentice in his early years in life with the painter Fra Filippo Lippi. Then he worked with the painter and engraver Antonio del Pallaiuolo, which gave him the influence in art with a little boost and influential experieces by Andrea del Verrocchio and the Christian Neoplatoism. Botticeli spent most of his time working for one of the greatest families in Florence, named the Medici family. He specialized in painting portraits for this family. Botticelli showed a great deal of execution in part of his work, this was lead to by the show of his artwork that gave us the viewer his style of perfor- mance. He also gives us a taste of the gloomy, sad, pensive sides of his work due to the fact of his sence of melancholy that gives the artwork a touch of magic. One of the most notable piece of artwork was the Giulano de' Medici. Botticelli was influenced by Christian Neoplatonism by the brilliant and intellectual and artistic circle at the court of Lorenzo de' Medici. |
